Coastal Walks

The cottage is adjacent to the North Wales Heritage Coast footpath.  

Bird Watching

The cottage is an ideal spot for Bird Watching: Choughs, Peregrine, oyster catchers, sparrows, shell duck, cormorant, buzzard, grasshopper warbler. See journal for latest sightings.

Also be sure to visit RSPB South Stack, Valley wetlands and Penrhos and Cemlyn Bay Bird Sanctuary. For the last two years ospreys have been nesting on the mainland, which makes a good trip out.

Nature Watching

• Dolphins and seals are sometimes seen from the cliffs.

• A wide variety of wild flowers live on the cliffs and hedgerows.

Holyhead Port

There's lots to see in the port which you can see across from Church Bay.

• Watch the Stena HSS (the largest fast ferry in the world!) as it travels from nearby Holyhead to Dun Laoghaire in Ireland.  
• Take a day trip to Dublin: stenaline.co.uk  (also sunset cruises!)
