The next performance at the Caerdroia (labyrinth) in Gwydyr Forest will be held on June 28^th and 29^th 2008.  This fifth unique – and always quite magical – sensory theatre performance by Cynefin Theatre Company will be based around the context of a midsummer forest festival with unique interactive performances at the various stalls around the labyrinth. 

“Cynefin are excited to present their fifth sensory theatre production at the Caserdroia layrinth, a one mile path deep in the heart of the Gwydyr Forest.  This summer’s event will be combining performance, art and local produce.

’Alban Hefin’ (‘The Light of the Summer’) will be a celebration of the Llanrwst area, its people, produce and environment through the vibrancy of midsummer traditions.

Local businesses will be collaborating with artists to create unique ‘stalls’ where you will find the opportunity to buy a range of products. 

You will come across visual arts, music, dance, poetry, and games; a festival of the senses!”

This years walking walking festival kicks off with a sprightly step on Saturday May 24th. The Cemlyn to Church Bay walk is on the 25th. More info from their website.

Spring is sprung. The housemartins have returned from their travels and moved into their artificial nest boxes. There’s no sign of the others building as yet, but then it’s been very dry and their mud nests would probably fall down if they did them.

The spring flowers are blooming on the cliffs. The carpet of scillas is particularly spectacular this year, which is very nice for the many walkers who’ve been out enjoying the lovely weather.
